A summer tradition returns as SCEE's community count the butterflies flying through our forests and fields. Become a citizen-scientist while learning the life histories of monarchs, swallowtails, cabbage whites, and many more. Butterfly watchers of all levels welcome. These invasive plants are plentiful on SCEE's property, so come out and enjoy their sweet treats while helping us clear them out of the forest. They are delicious when baked in pies or muffins or can be enjoyed right off the vine. Bring your own collecting bag or pail—we’ll tell you the best spots to collect. No registration needed.

Take a walk under the light of the moon as we listen for the nocturnal animals, gaze at the craters and seas of the moon through a telescope, and use specialized UV-flashlights to see the forest in a whole new way.
