Where to Recycle That Christmas Tree

Now that you’ve hauled out the holly and polished off the eggnog, it’s important to figure out where that tree will go when you’re done with it.

Don’t leave your tree at the curb trash collection! They end up in the landfill which is a terrible destination after the joy it brought this holiday season.

Here’s a few options around town to make sure it doesn’t go to waste:

Where to Recycle that Christmas Tree

For those who don’t want to drag their tree across town (and support Green Philly)

Circle Compost is recycling your former tree into mulch for our city’s nonprofit urban farms and gardens. Order a pick up on January 5th or 12th (and by picking this option, you’re also supporting Green Philly with an affiliate link.) Make sure to indicate your preference of 1/5 or 1/12 in the “Order notes” section at checkout, and use referral code “Green Philly.” They’ll also take your natural wreaths and garlands.
