The program was announced this morning at the Parkside ShopRight (at 52nd & W. Jefferson) with Philadelphia Streets Commissioner Clarena Tolson, RecycleBank Accounts Manager Denise McVeigh & Shoprite’s Director of Sustainability Dave Deets.  Tolson stated, “This is a win-win opportunity for all Philadelphia residents. By participating in the Recycle Rewards Program not only can you be rewarded for reducing your trash and increasing your recycling but now those same actions allow you an opportunity to win incredible prizes.”

City of Philadelphia and Recyclebank unveil the Philadelphia Recycling Rewards Sweepstakes at ShopRite, rewarding residents with prizes for recycling and reducing trash in Philadelphia.

Proudly, Philly is the largest US city to reward its residents for their recycling efforts, and saves the city $70 for every ton of waste that’s diverted form a landfill. Good luck with this competition, readers! (And let us know if you win!)
