How to Stop Getting Those Annoying Circulars & Flyers on Your Door

Hate getting those flyers that turn into litter? Philly has a program to stop them.

Circulars, menus, and flyers can be an annoying nuisance. Technically, it’s illegal for vendors to put them in mailboxes, so they’ll often be tied or stuck onto doors and railings, often ending up on the street as litter instead.

Good news! Philly has a FREE form to stop getting them. You just have to go through a quick few steps through the Department of Licenses and Inspections.

How to Stop Circulars, Flyers & Litter at Your Philadelphia Residence

Step 1: Download the form:

Step 2: Email OR Snail mail the form to L&I.

Email to operationsvending@phila.gov.

OR Snail mail the form to:

Department of Licenses and Inspections
Attention: Circular Free Property Coordinator
1401 John F. Kennedy Blvd. MSB 1180
Philadelphia, PA 19102

Step 3: Get your FREE Circular-free Sticker

Step 4: Stick it to your door, and make sure it’s visible from the sidewalk.

Step 5 (Optional): If businesses continue to flyer your property after your sticker is posted, they will be issued a citation from the Department of Licenses & Inspections. Once your sticker is proudly hanging, you can scan or take photos of flyers (and send your address, time & day where the sticker was received) to the L&I Circular Free Coordinator at OperationsVending@phila.gov to report flyers.
