Arcadia Boutique is Closing! Time to Mourn.

arcadia-local-philly-clothesWe’ve been a huge fan of Arcadia Boutique for years. Full of sustainably-made, local and recycled clothing, it has been a green girl’s dream. My winter boots still look amazing after wearing them for years. Once upon a time when I resided in Northern Liberties, there was a period I frequented enough to consider moving in.

Their Rittenhouse location closed last year. Yet we received an email that was the worst breakup thus far the other day:

Arcadia Boutique – Closing Email

The end is here…
Our amazing 7 year run at Arcadia is coming to an end this week. The shop has cleared out a bit more quickly then expected, so our last official day open will be this Friday, May 23. All remaining items have just been marked down again – so amazing prices!

We will be around next week packing up if you want to stop in to say hello.

This last week has been filled with visits and memories from all the people we’ve gotten to know over the years. Our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful Arcadia customers, designers, friends, and neighbors who have become family to us. We will miss you, but we hope to see you around as we all continue to support the vibrant, local fashion and design community here in Philadelphia!

On to new adventures for us all… Enjoy!
xoxo, Ali & Betsy

(At least Arcadia didn’t ghost on us.)

We hit the Clearance sale with our friend Jackie from the upcoming online pub, The Local, on Saturday and found a few gems like these:

And how amazing is this necklace? It’s such a random, large mess that I will totally rock it with pride. And remembrance.

Hurry over to North 2nd Street if you want to say goodbye or scour the last-minute sales racks.

Thanks for all the awesome memories, Arcadia! Readers, tell us in the comments: where should we shop now?!?
