You’re Invited: September 9th is Greenfest Philly 2012!

Greenfest Philly by the Clean Air Council will be held September 9, 2012

Do you have plans for September 9th, friends? Save the spot on your calendar and come by to say to us too, at 7th Annual Greenfest Philly! And best of all, it’s F-R-E-E!

The Clean Air Council’s Greenfest Philly will have fun for greenies (new & seasoned) of all ages! Live music, organic food vendors, family-friendly arts & crafts, and recycling only begin to describe it!

Here are some of the things about Greenfest ’12 we’re excited about:

  • Philly Swap is a clothing swap that’s happening – you can bring clothing, accessories, books, toys & more! Bring  either your items (or $5 at the door) to roam & take what you’d like. Just stay mindful & leave enough so that everyone else can have a good find too!
  • Sustainably-brewed beer garden! Seriously, do I need a further description? But Yards Brewery & Twisted Tail will be sponsoring it so you know it will be good… especially since Yards uses 100% renewable energy & spent grains donated to local farmers.
  • Free electronics recycling! No fees here.
  • Local & organic food trucks will be there for your stomach’s desire.
  • 100’s of eco-friendly vendors
  • Instead of paper flyers, Greenfest Philly’s making all the resources available for you online!
  • Green prizes, giveways & raffles (and I even heard of a scavenger hunt/game!)
  • Get your pic with the Plastic Bag Monster!
  • Meeting your fav green blogging gals! (aka… us.)
We’ll also be raffling off a couple of awesome prizes for those who sign the plastic bag ban.

Save the date for Philadelphia’s largest environmental festival! We can’t wait to see you there!

If you go: Greenfest Philly is Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 11 AM to 5 PM at Headhouse Square (2nd St btwn South & Pine).
