Back to December (Sans the Temps): Week Events 12/1 – 12/5

We’re back to December, already.

Although the weather’s teasing us with early autumn temps, we’re ready to dive into another week of amazing Philly events. Whether you want to kick back with a beverage (coffee or beer), learn a new skill or show that Philly can be successful without new pipelines, there’s lots in store this week.

Week events for December 1-5, 2014:

  • Intro to Sewing: Join local Jane-of-all talents, Sam Wittchen, to learn the essentials from basic stitches, choosing fabrics and all things sewing. Tues & Weds 12/2 & 12/3, 7-9 PM, $39, 3711 Market Street, Ground Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19104; Website
  • Women Bike PHL Coffee Club: Get your caffeine on with the Bicycle Coalition to share tips, rant, support, celebrate all things bikes. Hopefully, you’ll bike there, too!  Wednesday, December 3, 8 AM,  Ultimo Coffee, 2149 Catharine Street, Facebook RSVP.
  • Green Drinks: Relax with a local beer and meet local greenies at the various Green Drink locations across the Delaware Valley. Wednesday, December 3rd, 6-8 PM, Standard Tap @ 2nd and Poplar Streets, Bridget Foy’s Restaurant @ 200 South Street & PJ Whelihan’s @1854 East Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill NJ; Green Drinks website.
  • Rally to Show Dirty Energy Corporations Philly is Not for Sale: The oil and gas industry is hosting a conference to recruit investors needed to build more pipelines and ‘dirty energy’ infrastructure in the Philadelphia area. Join local Philadelphians to show support of keeping Philadelphia clean. Friday, December 5th at 9 AM; meet at The Creese Student Center, Drexel University, 3210 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA Facebook RSVP.
