Become a Tree Tender ! For over 20 years, PHS has been successfully hosting Tree Tenders classes in the Philadelphia area. Whether you use your knowledge to plant trees in your region, your community, or just your yard, you’ll be making a huge difference!
This October, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) is once again hosting a hands-on program to teach Philadelphians how to plant and care for the trees in their region! Training will cover:
Classes will take place over three sessions hosted on October 8th, 15th, and 21st from 5:45 – 9 PM at the PHS Auditorium (100 North 20th Street).

Already been to basic training? Try the advanced version of Tree Tenders, specifically designed for those who’ve mastered the basics! Training will cover:
Classes will take place over eight sessions hosted once a month on a Wednesday from September to April from 6 – 8 PM at the PHS Auditorium (100 North 20th Street) or via real-time webcast.
Students even get the opportunity to take pre and post tests for the chance to receive an advanced Tree Tenders graduate card!
