Happy Monday! Hope you got your fill of fireworks, beaches, BBQ hangovers or whatever you planned for the patriotic holiday weekend.

Don’t fret about getting back to work – Philly has a ton in store for us. Whether you love yoga, craft beer, more craft beer or nature, we have the best local events of the week for you.

Philly events for the week of July 7th – 10th:

  • PHS Pop Up Garden Returns! It’s back! The opening ceremony of the infamous PHS pop up garden, where you can sip local beverages & enjoy snacks is on Tuesday, July 8th. (We profiled the PHS pop up in a previous post for you, too. ) July 8th @ 5:30 PM through the Fall, 1538 South Street; Pay as you go.
  • Local Craft Beer Tasting at the Art Museum: Join the Phila Art Museum for locally-craft beers and savory samplings. Wednesdays through July 30th @ 6:30-8:30; $25 ($22/members); Philadelphia Museum of Art; Reservations required.
  • Yoga at the Art Museum: Don’t want to spend calories on craft beer? The Philadelphia Museum of Art is also hosting yoga with Dhyana Yoga on Wednesdays outside. BYO Mat, and classes are cancelled if it rains. (Obviously I’m on the team craft beer category…) Wednesdays through July 30 @ 6-7 PM; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Free after admission.
  • Monarchs, Swallowtails, and More: An Annual Butterfly Count: Join the Schuylkill Center for a summer tradition to count the butterflies flying through the center’s forests and fields. Be a citizen-scientist for the day, discovering life histories of monarchs, swallowtails, cabbage whites, and more. Butterfly watchers of all levels welcome. Thursday, July 10 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagy’s Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128, Free.
