Philly Spring Cleanup Day – Update on Project this Saturday!
Hey friends & readers-
Who’s excited to help Philadelphia this Saturday for Philly Spring Cleanup Day?
As we mentioned, Green Philly Blog is partnering with greenlimbs in Queen Village neighborhood of 300-600 Washington Avenue. Our volunteers will help bag trash, recycle, tend trees and prepare beds for spring planting.
My friend and I visited the project location on Sunday afternoon. While there were 20-30 kids playing in this park, trash litters the streets and area inside.
Here are some pics of the area:

This area contains basketball courts, fields, parks and much space for our neighbors to enjoy. While we were visiting the area on Sunday, my friend and I were talking about how part of the efforts must be to clean up, but community involvement to keep up the area standards are also important. Let’s start by showing Philadelphians how their area doesn’t have to scattered with trash…
If you’d like to help out, please visit our Philly Spring Cleanup – Queens Village page here. The more volunteers the merrier!
