Philly Farm & Food Fest: Win a Pair of Tickets!
Philly Farm & Food Fest is back for locavore lovers this Sunday, April 14th!
The 2nd annual Philly Farm & Food Fest at the PA Convention Center (Annex – Broad Street entrance) will be inviting local foodies from 11AM to 4 PM with food samples, 4 cooking demonstrations, 8 workshops & presentations, kids activities and much more. Over 117 farms, food artisans & businesses will sample, sell & share their stories of locavore perfection. Don’t believe me? Exhibitors include a variety from GMO Free PA, Greensgrow Phila, Happy Cat Farms, John & Kira’s, CSAs, FreshaPeel Hummus, Mompops, Yellow Springs Farm, Capogiro, and my favorite Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey.
Although we had so much fun at last year’s event, this year may top it with its new features. The Local Libations Lounge will sample 5 hand-selected premium PA spirits like Rye Whiskey, Gin, Asian Pear Dessert Wine & Victory Craft beer. Judy Wicks will be signing & selling copies of her new book, Good Morning, Beautiful Business. Philly CowShare will be hosting a one day sale of 100% grass-fed and local beef & pork.
Tickets are only $15 until Friday at midnight ($20 at door), but we’re giving away a FREE pair of tickets to one lucky reader!
To win a FREE Philly pair of Farm & Food Fest tickets: Like us on Facebook and tell us what your favorite local food is in our comment section below this post. (If you are already our Facebook fan, just say so in the comments.) We will pick one lucky winner Friday morning (April 12th) so everyone else still has time to purchase the discounted tickets.
Philly Farm & Food Fest is a project from Fair Food and PASA (Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture. Ahh . . . the peaches . . .
I’m already a fan of you on Facebook (Duh!). My favorite local food is the raspberry butter from SIW Vegetables in Chadds Ford, PA that I got in my last CSA pick-up!
So yummy on toast, crackers, ice cream… a spoon…!
I heart sugar plums and pick-your-own honeycrisp apples…
I’m already a big fan. 🙂
I love corn from Pete’s Produce.
Favorite local food? Too hard to pick just one — mushrooms from out in Kennett, Michael’s Seitan, Bobby’s Hummus, John & Kirra’s chocolate…SE PA is a treasure trove!

Capogiro Gelateria. they are truly a delicious, local favorite (which has also gained national exposure as best ‘ice cream’ by National Geographic!). My vote for best local cheesesteak goes to Sorrentino’s Deli in the Manayunk section of Philly.
There are so many great local wineries – Chadds Ford is not not miss nor is Paradocx. Pair that with goat cheese from Yellow Spring Farms. Yum. And yes, I am a FB fan!
Tofu Hoagie @Fu Wah in West Philly!
My favorite local food is the pasture-raised grass-fed meat, eggs and raw milk from The Family Cow in Chambersburg, PA. And of course the vegetables I grow in my very own urban garden.
Bobbys Hummus!
I love the local corn!
Shellbark Hollow Farm Goat Cheese for the win.
Birchrun Hills Farm makes a great cheese called “Birchrun Blue”- a blue cheese from this great little farm in Malvern (Chester Springs)! I love to get this as part of the cheese plate at Talula’s Garden here in Philly. A local restaurant dedicated to local sources. We need more of these!
Just liked you on FB! Favorite local food–veggies and cheese from our local farmers market.
