Philadelphia Mural Arts Celebrates 30th Anniversary

What started as an Anti-Graffiti Network quickly evolved into an art. Eventually evolving into the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

Jane Golden began reaching out and redirecting many graffiti writers in 1984.  Golden encouraged many creators of vandalisms to channel their creativity to better Philadelphia.

Thanks to Jane Golden, Philadelphia is filled with amazing murals that catch tourists and citizens of Philly everyday. These murals symbolize a sense of evolution for Philadelphia and they really add character to the city.

Philadelphia Mural Arts @ 30: 2014 Anniversary Celebration

Help celebrate 30 years worth of fantastic murals that fill this city with that special character on March 25th at the Central Free Library of Philadelphia.

This free event guarantees plenty of entertainment and education, for activists, artists and community members.

Find out more information on the Mural Arts official website.
