Nerd Nite Philadelphia Talks Sustainability with Clean Air Council & GPB: 9/18

Nerd NiteWant to learn more about sustainability while washing down some German Brews? Nerd Nite Philadelphia’s September meeting is perfect JUST for you!

Nerd Nite Philadelphia will partner with Green Philly Blog and Clean Air Council on Wednesday, September 18 for an evening filled with talks by green, local experts!

Nerd Nite Speakers include:

  • Philadelphia Energy Manager Kristin Sullivan will be on hand to discuss the methods in which energy consumption can be reduced within the City of Brotherly Love.
  • Philadelphia Recycling Director Phil Bresee will discuss Philadelphia’s Recycling progress over the last few years and the city’s upcoming initiatives.
  • Logan Welde  and Julie Hancher will discuss harmful effects of plastic bags and positive outcomes of a citywide plastic bag reduction.
  • Eric Wahl from Delaware’s Element Design Group will discuss the science of landscape architecture.

Immediately prior to the event, Franklin Winslow from Philly’s Yards Brewing Company will be on hand to discuss Yards’ latest beverage—which will be available exclusively at Frankford Hall. Tunes will be provided throughout by Midwestern Exposure.
