New Year, New Green Events: 1/5 – 1/8/15

Happy New Year, readers!

We hope you had a chance to kick back and enjoy the holiday season. Whether you’ve made New Years resolutions to kick those holiday calories by running or biking OR go the opposite route, we’ve got the best green events for you.

Philly Week Events for January 5 – 9th, 2015:

  • January YIP Run to Winterfest: Run around, check out Penn Landing’s Winterfest and network with other young Philadelphians during this event. Start at Philadelphia Runner and make the most of a cool Tuesday evening. Tuesday, January 6th at 6:30 PM, 1601 Sansom Street, Facebook RSVP.
  • Women Bike PHL Clinic with Performance Bicycle:  Ladies, want to learn how to maintain your bike without a bike shop’s attitude? This all-female workshop will help you with basic bike maintenance and answer your questions. Wednesday, January 7th from 6-7 PM, Performance Bicycle Philadelphia,1300 South Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19147, Facebook RSVP.
  • Green Drinks: The first Wednesday of the month means that it’s time for Green Drinks! Join friends in South Philly, Northern Liberties or Cherry Hill to discuss sustainability, meet new friends and enjoy a local craft beer. Wednesday, January 7th form 6-9 PM, Green Drinks website, various locations.
  • Drop In + Do: Join the Department of Making + Doing and bring your own idea or get inspired by other creatives doing awesome stuff. Thursday, January 8th from 7-9 PM, 3711 Market Street, Ground Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19104, Website.
