Holiday Events Edition: Weekend 12/26 – 12/28

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – especially in the City of Brotherly Love!

Although Hanukkah and Christmas have passed, there’s is still so much more celebrating to do. See the lights, sample sweet treats or get light exercise to burn a few of those holiday calories.

Looking for something to keep the cousins entertained during their stay? Don’t worry, we have you covered:

  • Friday Night Lights: The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania is hosting Friday Night Lights! Venture over and enjoy a quarter-mile model train ride across bridges and through the tunnels of the Morris Arboretum’s Garden Railway. As you ride the rails, marvel at the replicas of historical landmarks of Philadelphia, each carefully decorated in holiday lights! Friday, December 26, 4:30pm-7:30pm. Morris Arboretum, 100 E Northwestern Ave., Philadelphia PA 19118 For more information visit Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania
  • Winter Wellness Walks: Although there is no such this as over-indulging during the holidays, you might want to put down those Christmas cookies and enjoy a brisk walk outdoors! Head over to the Widener Visitor Center and join the Volunteer Guide through the paved paths of the Morris Arboretum Gardens. Saturday, December 27, 2014 10:30am – 11:30am, Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania, 100 E Northwestern Ave., Philadelphia PA 19118
  • The Christmas Village in Philadelphia: Mark your calendars! Christmas Village is the place to be, if you haven’t had the chance already. This German-style Christmas spectacular closes Sunday, December 28th, and is something you wont want to miss! Check out Christmas village for international gifts, ornaments, jewelry, arts and crafts and more! Check out Christmas Village Philadelphia for more information. Love Park (JFK Plaza) 1500 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102, 11am-7pm.
