Green Week Events: February 9th – 13th, 2015:

• Science on Tap: Guano Happens: An Illustrated History of Fertilizer in America. How does chemical fertilizers affect our water supply?  Find out how late last summer, 400,000 residents of Toledo, Ohio lost access to tap water because of a massive bloom of toxic cyanobacteria in Lake Erie. Monday, February 9th at 6:00pm – 7:00pm, National Mechanics, 22 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19106. • Young Progressive Philly Happy Hour:  Want to discuss & vent about the upcoming mayoral election, but your cat won’t discuss whether he’s rooting for Kenney or Abraham? This Happy Hour will host local activists, a few City Council candidates & Jim Kinney himself. (We suggest asking about his stance on legalizing marijuana, a la Denver revenue.)
