Craving a winter food fest destined for locavores?

The Brewer’s Plate 2013 hosted by Fair Food Philly promises to be a tasty celebration of local breweries, restaurants, farmers & artisan producers all from within 150 miles of the city.

This unique tasting event (already in year #9!) pairs local craft beer with local gourmet food for the locavore dream come true. The food &^ drink lineup can’t be beat. Restaurant stars include Alla Spina, City Tap House, DiBruno Bros, El Camino Real, White Dog Cafe, Kennett Restaurant and many more. The all-star brewery lineup includes the greenalicious Yards, Tired Hands Brewery, Neshaminy Creek Brewery, Nodding Head, Sly Fox, Dad’s Hat Whiskey & Art in the Age.

Why attend this event, besides the obvious food & drinks? The Brewer’s Plate supports Fair Food Philly, which was founded in 2001 and has built demand for local food across all sectors of the food system. They connect local farmers and chefs to keep our area’s farmlands in production. They also work hard to increase demand for sustainable growers at local college, hospitals, institutions, restaurants and more.
