Winners from 2017 SBN Excellence in GSI Awards Ceremony

This past Thursday night, the Sustainable Business Network hosted their 2nd Excellence in GSI Awards Ceremony at La Peg/ Fringe Arts.

The awards honor GSI (Green Stormwater Infrastructure) projects in the Greater Philadelphia Area, the triple bottom line benefits of GSI, and the many partners who make these projects successful.

2017 GSI Award Winners

Public Projects: Projects managed at least in part by a public agency and/or are on public property (local, city, state, federal)

Winner: Jenkintown Creek Restoration project

Private Projects: Projects managed by a private entity and/or are on private property

Winner: Frankford Friends Nature Learning Lab

Early Adopters: Public or Private projects 10 years or older

Winner: VUSP Bio-Infiltration Traffic Island

Research in GSI: Peer-reviewed, published, and/or presented academic, non-profit, government, or private research on one or more elements of the triple bottom line performance of GSI

Winner: Philadelphia Water: Green City Clean Waters

Leadership in GSI: An individual whose work has transformed the understanding and/or use of GSI in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Winner: Andy Kricun, Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority
