July is the hottest month of the year, and only getting hotter.
Over the past 40 years, July has increased by 3.7°F in Philadelphia according to Climate Central. Nationally, July temps have increased by 2.1°F since 1970.
This 4th of July may not have broken records, but the hottest holiday was in 1966 at 103°F.
