Green Philly’s 2022 recap

Green Philly’s 2022 recap

Another year is in the books. Here’s what we did.

As we wrap up 2022, we’re reflecting on the year that was. After a two-year hiatus, we brought back in-person events, our signature event, SustainPHL and welcomed two team members on board.

Here are our 2022 highlights:

  • We hosted 6 events, including three in-person(!) with local sustainability experts
  • Hundreds of you subscribed to our weekly newsletter
  • Thousands of you are following us on social media
  • ? SustainPHL made a comeback in person at the @Acadnatsci!

Projects & People

  • We kicked off year three of our Watershed reporting due to continued funding from the William Penn Foundation.
  • In 2021, we were chosen for the LION-Meta Revenue Growth Fellowship and funding. As a part of this fellowship, we welcomed Harrison Mace, Director of Business Development onto our team in February.
  • Green Philly was awarded the “Every Voice, Every Vote” Lenfest Grant to cover electoral issues in 2023.
  • Gurpreet Talwar joined as marketing manager in June.
  • We worked with over 10 freelancers with diverse voices throughout the year.

In addition to our exciting progress, we continued to grow our weekly email list and social media following.
