5 Sustainable DNC Events You Should Attend

The donkeys have descended upon Philly!

Besides the fact we have painted donkeys sprinkled throughout our city, political fever is throughout the city. The DNC has officially come out with ways they’re sustainable, including carbon offsets, waste diversion & SEPTA use.

Which sustainability events should you pay attention? We found the cream of the crop for you.

  1. Sustainability Forum at the DNC

Don’t miss this Policy Forum at Azavea Corporation tomorrow!

As the website says, “A range of business executives and thought leaders will examine the important role sustainability plays in ensuring a brighter future for the United States. Policy ideas and business strategies will be presented that can strengthen the economy, create jobs and bring prosperity in the near term, while also making the economy more robust in the longer term.”

2. RideDNC

3. Animal Advocacy Through Legislation.

Animal lovers, vegans, vegetarians & mostly-vegetarians rejoice! The Humane League, the HSLF, Humane PA, and Penn Animal Advocacy all are gathering legislative representatives to share how to improve the lives of animals. Plus, eat a plant-based meal by Vegan Chef Lenka’s DNC Chef’s Team.

4.YIP Presents StorySlam: Inside the Political Machine

Join YIP & your political-savvy friends at YIP’s storyslam. Attendees can talk for 5 minutes about their interactions with Politics. (Maybe your protests during the March for Climate from yesterday?!)

5.Truth To Power

This pop-up exhibit will be FREE to hear voices and organize solutions.

Join artists and activists from across the nation coming together against the backdrop of the Democratic National Convention in a large pop-up art exhibition, discussion forum and performance space designed to elevate and illuminate the most pressing issues facing young people today.
