GPB Giveaway: Enter to Win This Awesome Children’s Book!
As a thank you to our readers we’re giving away a copy of the educational and entertaining children’s book, “What’s So Bad About Gasoline? Fossil Fuels and What They Do ” What’s the occasion? Nada… we just like you!
“What’s So Bad About Gasoline?” written by Anne Rockwell and illustrated by Paul Meisel is a worth-it read for kids with straight forward answers to the question’s title.
The book discusses the effects of gasoline’s harmful emissions with tangible examples. Rockwell also touches on the history of petroleum through vivid imagery and historical references that are easy for kids to grasp.
The book concludes by presenting alternative sources of energy – such as solar and wind power. I appreciated this – as the last thing we want to do is educate kids about scary global issues without offering potential solutions.
I think this is a great read for kids (or adults who enjoy children’s books or need a refresher on the danger of gasoline dependency!)
