Join LandHealth Institute on a series of geology-focused hikes through some of Philadelphia’s geologic treasures, both built and natural. Learn why some rocks are shiny, where common rocks found in Philadelphia’s buildings and statues come from, and how the landform of the city was different prior to buildings, roads and development. This month’s geology hike will include the Glendinning Rock Garden, statues along Kelly drive, and the cliffs at Fairmount Water Works. The hike will be approx. 2 miles round-trip.
