United By Blue’s Schuylkill River Cleanup!

Join United by Blue for our final Tuesday night cleanup of 2016 at Bartrams Garden! Since this historic site rests on the banks of the Schuylkill River, it is often littered with a sea of Styrofoam pieces, plastic bottles, tires, and whatever else gets carried downstream or left there.

The farm families who own Cabot Creamery Co-operative want to reward you for your work after this cleanup. All volunteers will be treated to a meal catered by the gratitude grille, Cabot’s amazing food truck! Please be sure to pre-register to be included in the count for a meal.

United By Blue will provide water, trash bags, supplies, and gloves for volunteers. All volunteers will also have the chance to win prizes during two cleanup games: weirdest trash find and total weight guess. Keep in touch for updates about the cleanup. Groups of all sizes are welcome!

Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet.
