Songs of Color: An Opera North Inc.’s (ONI) 40th Anniversary Concert Series program will commemorate ONI’s 40 years of presenting an array of innovative and impressive concerts, educational and community engagement performances. On Saturday, November 26th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, we will celebrate ONI’s legacy and heritage with a wonderful reception and silent auction from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm that will allow attendees to bid on some very unique items. Silent auction winners will be announced at the end of the evening. At 7:00 pm, the evening will culminate in an intimate one-hour concert performance by the exquisite and highly accomplished American soprano, Carmen Balthrop. Acclaimed by The Washington Post as “electrifying… a consummate performer,” and by The New York Times as “a voice of power and uncommon tonal purity,” Balthrop has an astonishing range of repertoire from Baroque opera to contemporary song literature. The evening will be a treat for all. Songs of Color: Opera North Inc.’s 40th Anniversary Concert Series debut will be held at Grey Towers Castle (reception), and Murphy Hall – Stiteler Auditorium (concert) at Arcadia University 450 S Easton Rd. Glenside, PA 19038. For additional information visit Opera North, Inc.’s website at www.operanorthinc.org |
