Shape Up the Shop & Volunteer Bike Build

SHAPE UP THE SHOP 2-4pm
We’ll be spending two hours on Saturday, January 7 from 2-4pm to organize NBW’s heavily used shop space at 3939 Lancaster Ave. Will you help us? Volunteers will be stripping donated bikes and sorting used parts, restocking Bike Church and Earn-A-Bike parts bins, processing bike donations, and more. Your support is crucial to keeping NBW’s youth and adult programs running smoothly!

VOLUNTEER BIKE BUILD 4-6pm
Immediately following Shape Up the Shop on Saturday, January 7, from 4-6pm, we’ll be having an additional work party to help prep some bikes for reburbishment to be given away to recent refugee arrivals in Philly or other folks in need. The bikes won’t need to be completed (NBW staff and/or youth will take care of that), just assessed and tagged, cleaned, and prepped, so minimal mechanical experience is OK. Guidance provided, and taking apart bikes is a great way to start learning about ’em!
