Open Saturdays at Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum

Pack a picnic basket and settle among the gardens at Andalusia’s Open Saturdays, where families and nature lovers can enjoy the grounds during the weekends. The next Open Saturday is May 20, Garden Photography Day! Photographer Sandy Stolzman will capture the gardens, offer technical tips, and demonstrate her process. Bring a camera, or smartphone, to take your own pictures of Andalusia’s beautiful scenery. Guests can embark on self-guided garden tours aided by a map of the grounds and view a panorama of trees and flowers in various stages of bloom, including the fragrant crab apple tree in the Graperies, set against weathered stone walls covered in purple wisteria, the Woodland Walk with its field of vivid daffodils, and the Easter Garden’s brilliant array of blossoming magnolias, redbuds, and tulips. Andalusia’s newly extended Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Historic House tours are offered at 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets for Open Saturdays in advance from the?Andalusia website.
