Member Made Food Justice: Co-Op Panel

October 22, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a panel discussion led by food co-op leaders in our region during Temple’s Campus Sustainability Week! Co-ops are democratically-run businesses in which the workers and consumers have to power to make business decisions. This model empowers communities to solve their problems autonomously and makes business ownership more accessible. Co-ops are gaining momentum in Philadelphia; come find out why!

Jill Fink, Executive Director of Weavers Way Community Programs
Jon Roesser, General Manager of Weavers Way Co-op
Will Darwall, W/N W/N
Jake Kairis, Down to Earth Food Co-op
Estaban Kelly, U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives
Moderated by Peter Frank of Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance
