“Loco Lucho” Chef + Philly Boricuas Cook Up Event for Clean Water in Puerto Rico

$20Clean Water for Puerto Rico by Boricuas in PA is a fundraiser organized by six Philly-area women taking action to help 20,000 people get regular access to clean water on the hurricane-stricken Island. More than a month after Hurricane Maria, hundreds of thousands of families are still struggling to access this most basic human need. - An exclusive preview of offerings from Chef Luis Liceaga, the latest chef to join vendors at Philly’s famed Reading Terminal Market. A native of the island, Liceaga comes from culinary royalty?—?his aunt and kitchen mentor is Carmen Aboy Valldejuli, author of the original Puerto Rican cooking bible, Cocina Criolla.

- Artwork by 100 Puerto Rican Diaspora Artists. Curated by Puerto Rican artist Adrián Viajero Román, DEFEND PUERTO RICO’s CITICIENfeatures the historic and present-day impact of the Jones Act?—?much in the news recently due to its role in slowing Maria relief. Extended just for this event.
- Performer Gabriel “Gabe” Muñoz’s cuatrista music, featuring a special guitar and style native to the Caribbean and Puerto Rico.
