Rethinking Interdisciplinary Approaches to 21st Century Global Challenges
The world is constantly changing. Shifting demographics, climates, and politics create unprecedented global challenges. Opportunities to address these challenges require new ways of thinking and new ways of collaborating.
This colloquium will provide examples of innovative approaches to global problems; highlighting cross-cultural and global opportunities to engage students in interdisciplinary problem-solving through the lenses of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Design (STEAM’D). Experts will guide exploration of ways to shift faculty and student mindsets towards global, interdisciplinary, and resilient approaches to the challenges of the 21st century.
