For the Love Of Germantown! Fundraiser

Join us at Germantown United CDC’s annual fundraiser For the Love of Germantown! on Thursday, April 27 from 6 – 9 p.m. This year’s party will be held at Rittenhouse Soundworks (219 W Rittenhouse St), a hub for live music housed in a former Chrysler automotive shop turned recording studio. Come out and socialize with your neighbors and supporters of this artistic, historic, and diverse neighborhood, bid on one of a kind auction items, and enjoy good music, food, and cheer!

For the Love of Germantown! supports Germantown United CDC’s important work promoting and facilitating the revitalization of Germantown’s business district through a sustainable, creative, and community-driven approach to economic development.

Enjoy catering by two celebrated chefs: Valerie Erwin of Northwest Philadelphia’s esteemed Geechee Girl Rice Café, and Linda Samuel of Germantown’s own The Flower Cafe At Linda’s (48 W Maplewood Mall). Erwin’s cuisine celebrates her Carolina Lowcountry Geechee family heritage, and Samuel’s specializes in creative vegetarian and vegan cooking.

In addition to great good, enjoy an open bar with complimentary craft beer and wine. We’ll also be pouring a caffeinated pick-me-up from Germantown Espresso Bar (26 W Maplewood Mall), a welcome new business to the neighborhood opening soon.

Hear live music by artists appearing on the benefit album For the Love of Germantown! – a compilation of Jazz, Blues and Soul music produced by Philly Jazz Project and performed by talented musicians from the community.

Celebrate the 2017 Pillar of the Community Award recipients, to be announced. With this award Germantown United CDC acknowledges those among us who have significantly contributed to the betterment of our community. As dedicated and steadfast champions for Germantown the award recipients embody the values of GUCDC.
