SustainPHL & United By Blue: FDR Park Cleanup

We’ll let you in on a secret. There’s a natural oasis in South Philadelphia, tucked between industry, bustling neighborhoods, and stadiums. Philly’s FDR Park is home to Edgewood and Meadow Lakes, left over from the tidal marsh area between the Delaware River and Schuylkill River. Join UBB, SustainPHL, Billy Penn, Philadelphia Water, and Aqua Vida as we work to keep this area clean and beautiful for the Philly community.

We will meet in the grassy area of the parking lot, in front of the Edgewood Lake Boat House. UBB will supply bags, gloves, tools, and prizes. SustainPHL has graciously provided a school bus to transport volunteers to FDR Park, which will leave from Center City.

Following the cleanup, we will meet at Chickie’s and Pete’s for a happy hour sponsored by SweetWater Brewing Company!
