Edenspore Course: Living Seasonally, Growing Cyclically

March 14, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on April 19, 2024 at 6:00 pm

For centuries, people all over the Northern Hemisphere have been marking the seasons as we do now, developing cultures around them and learning to survive and proliferate. Globalized living and ever-increasing reliance on digital technology have made the shifts of the seasons easier to ignore, but our bodies, ecosystems, and brains are still calibrated to adapt to them. These classes will provide you with tools that mentally prepare and excite you to engage with the cycle of the seasons so you can be at your best when they appear, growing more and more with them and your body each year. Part science, part magic, part history, part lore, and 100% Earth.

Each class will include resources, a craft or takeaway item, discussion, and lecture-style information. Please come prepared with a notebook/journal, pen/pencil, and comfortable walking shoes.

We meet on the following Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm:

3/14 – Early Spring
4/25 – Mid-Spring
6/13 – Early Summer
7/25 – Mid-Summer
9/12 – Early Autumn
10/24 – Mid-Autumn
12/12 – Early Winter

$210 for all seven class for nonmembers
$140 for all seven classes for Bartram’s members
