Building on our Strengths: Investing in Greater Philadelphia’s Centers

November 4, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

$25

Investing in Centers is the cornerstone of Greater Philadelphia’s Long Range Plan.  Centers serve as a basis for organizing and focusing development for the most efficient delivery of supportive infrastructure, primarily transportation.  Concentrating growth within Centers preserves open space while creating vibrant communities with a variety of transportation choices.

The morning kicks off with the Development Opportunities Marketplace, where private sector residential and commercial developers and investors can meet municipal officials and economic development professionals to learn about available sites within the region. Next, a panel consisting of local officials and developers will discuss the important role that transit is playing in new development throughout Greater Philadelphia. Finally, everyone is invited to participate in an interactive activity to identify challenges to investing in Centers and propose possible solutions.

Panelists:

  • Mr. Andrew Svekla, Senior Design Analyst, DVRPC
  • Mr. John Ernst, Borough Manager, Lansdale Borough
  • The Honorable Joseph DiGriolamo, Mayor, Bensalem Township
  • Mr. Art Corsini, Fieldstone Associates, Town Center at Haddon (invited)
  • Mr. Greg Rogerson, Principal, J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc.
