In Bryophilia, our gallery will display Marion Wilson’s stunning digital photographs of microscopically enlarged moss species. Moss – part of the bryophyte phylum – captivates artist Marion Wilson as the first form of plant life, yet the most overlooked scientifically. Her photographs invite us to look closely, teaching us to celebrate attentiveness to smallness and deeper ways of knowing and seeing. We will also host Wilson’s Mobile Field Station, a mobile art and ecology project using a renovated RV as a drawing and botany lab focused on moss, for the summer – MLAB will be open at the gallery opening and at other points throughout the summer.
