Blooms for the Block-Tree and wildflower give planter for Fairhill and Strawberry Mansion Neighbors

Dateline and Lead:? We Love Philly has officially launched fundraising and registration for its
first community flower-planting day! Students are currently planting seeds and nurturing
seedlings to go into the soil on Saturday, May 8th from 8 AM to 8 PM (sunrise to sunset) in
the Fairhill and Strawberry Mansion neighborhoods. We Love Philly members and
volunteers will begin just outside of One Bright Ray Community High School on 4th and
Somerset Streets. Neighbors and community stakeholders are invited to register for beautiful
yard trees that we will plant for you that day or for one of our gorgeous, student-made, wood
flower planters that we will install on your block for all to enjoy! We will also have flowers
available to take home for Mother’s Day! If you live in Fairhill or Strawberry Mansion and have a green thumb or are active in helping keep your community clean, please register for a wildflower box or free tree from TREE PHILLY. Thank you and we hope to see you on the 8th of May
