Another holiday weekend is here! Still looking for things to do? Whether you’re looking to shop for locally made goods, get your hands dirty on the farm, or stretch out for a standup paddleboard yoga session, Philly has something for you!

Here’s what’s going on this week in our green weekend guide!

• Headhouse Farmers’ Market: More than 40 vendors will be attending the Headhouse Farmers’ Market selling fresh produce, you can also find a great selection of locally prepared foods and artisanal goods! Come check out their selections of fruits and veggies, as well a,s flowers, herbs, honey, chesses & meats, coffee, and wine. Saturday, August 30^th, 10 AM – 2 PM, Headhouse Square, 2nd & Lombard

• Volunteer Day @ Francisville Farm & Orchard: Urbanstead and Francisville NDC are teaming up with local volunteers for a fun day of farming and green-work. • Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga: Aqua Vida instructors Jana Mars and Michelle Doyle will be leading Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga classes this Saturday on the Delaware River. Come out and join them at Spruce Street Harbor Park for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience on the water. Saturday, August 30^th, Sessions @ 2, 4, & 6 PM, Spruce St. Harbor Park (Penn’s Landing), $30 – $45, Register.

• Wellness Walk @ the Schuylkill Center: Come out for an hour of fresh air and good company on the beautiful Schuylkill Center trails. Join fellow walkers on a moderately paced walk along one of the Schuylkill Center’s wider, level trails. Saturday August 30^th, 2 – 3 PM, 8480 Hagy’s Mill Rd., Free.

• Handmade Philly Art Supply Swap: Join Philly’s art crowd for a supply swap this weekend. Bring over tools and supplies you don’t need and take some that you do! Sunday, August 31^st, 12 – 2 PM, Iron Factory, 118 Fontain St. (3^rd Floor), Tickets.

Linh studies Architectural Technologies at Philadelphia University and spent a previous semester studying Sustainability in Copenhagen, Denmark. These experiences home and abroad inspired her to take a closer look at her personal impact on the environment and ways to lessen it.
