Neighborhood Champion & Community Leader Kyle Shenandoah Remembered After Tragic Passing

On behalf of Green Philly and SustainPHL, we are heartbroken and saddened to hear about the sudden and tragic passing of Kyle Shenandoah, a community advocate. Shenandoah, 34, was struck and killed by a moving car on August 21st.

Just a short 3 weeks ago, Kyle was recognized by his peers in the sustainability community as the SustainPHL 2019 neighborhood champion award recipient. Here’s his acceptance speech, in which he reminded us of the importance to recognize others and working together in your community:
